I seen a post on Facebook last night about the rigevidon pill and it’s made me want to change. The post said about it affecting the girls fertility and giving her endo and a lot of other stuff. Not sure if I’m allowed to post it on here but it’s really scared me.
What types of pills are you girls on? I’m not sure what to change to

Okay, so I've not heard of Rigevidon but the oral contraceptive didn't work for me so quickly moved on. As far as it affecting fertility and causing endo... I'd be wary. There's no definitive cause for endo yet (nobody knows why women get it) and from what I've read just now about the pill it's simply just an oral contraceptive pill. If you're doing well on it, I don't see any reason to change it, but if you're concerned I'd speak to your GP or Gynaecologist
Hi, im not on any now, havent for about 4 years as i guess endo got so bad the pill wasnt doing anything anymore.
I was on microgynon for about 7 years, that suited me, sex drive was normal, no spots. When i say suited, i still had pain but mostly during my breakthrough bleeds and heavy bleeding so gp suggested taking back to back for 4 months at a time. Back then i didnt know what endo was and gp didnt suggest, so i just thought its what all women go through. I cant remember the first one they put me on that didnt agree with me, sorry.
Only issue i had with the pill was long term use causes weight gain, no one told me about that. Im working on that now though. So happy im off the pill, had surgery (second one was yesterday) to remove all of what they could see. If if i had listened to my body i probably would have pushed for surgery earlier as pill just hibernates endo
I was on rigevidon! And it’s only since then I’ve had endo symptoms. Not saying it was definitely that that caused it, but the thought has lingered in my mind. I felt at the time, the doctor was just fobbing me off. X
Hello tinkerbell971. I'm sorry to hear you are feeling scared after reading something about Rigevidon on Face Book. If you have concerns about any medication or treatment that you are on, then the best thing to do is to speak to your GP, consultant or practice nurse. Hopefully they will be able to address any concerns that you have about risks associated with your medication. I hope you are able to get some advice from a health professional soon and feel reassured.
Hey I’m on cerazette (desogestrel) and have been for 3 years and it works really well for me!! I’ve heard it hasn’t worked so well for some women though but this pill didn’t make me gain weight or give me spots and it also ensures I have no period at all as I take it with no breaks so I never bleed or have cramps! Xxxx
That’s so good, I’m going to go and speak to one of the nurses and ask if I change. I like the sound of that pill because rigevidon has made me put weight on aswell x
I tried so many other pills before cerazette which never worked for me! But there’s a lot of posts on here saying cerazette caused bleeding... I really think it’s trial and error 🙁 I did have bleeding at first but persisted and it’s the best one for my body!! Xx
I know that’s the thing I’m just going to have to try a few different ones to see which suits me. Rigevidon worked well for me at first but not anymore x
