Hey do any of you girls with Diaphragmatic endometriosis suffer with pain in the wrist or elbow?

I do and it’s crippling me. Feels sort of hot and inflamed. Seems to run down my muscle on the outer side of my upper arm.

Feel like I’m going on and on about this but I just have so many question.

Love to all x

Was interested reading your post. I’m currently deliberating over whether I may have diaphragmatic Endo (I’ve severe pelvic Endo) as suffer v badly from cyclic shoulder blade pain/up neck into the back of my head. I’ve recently been experiencing sore elbow pain only on right side too and wondered if it’s all connected? I don’t get the upper arm pain, just shoulder and only for a few days before period starts and then for a day or two more then it vanishes until the next month.

Would be interested to see if other people comment. I know in the past doctors have told Endo patients that it is repetitive strain injury and it’s definitely not! I’m sure Endo is the culprit. It does make you susceptible to general joint and nerve pain too so I wouldn’t be surprised. I’m currently weighing up whether to have yet another lap to diagnose if I have it on my diaphragm, I wish there was an easier way of diagnosis as I’ve had extremely traumatic surgery in the past and doubt I can go through any more.

Sorry to hear you’re struggling, I feel for you terribly and send you a big hug, it’s a horrid illness isn’t it x x

Hello! I have just had diaphragmatic endo removed and the pain was from the bottom of my neck, down my shoulders and all the way down my arm into my elbow :( so yes it can get quite far around he body in terms of pain!! It’s because of the phrenic nerve apparently xxx hope that helps and take care xxx

That does help. Thank you! I’ve just made my first consultation appt today. Nervous as hell, but I suppose it’s a step in the right direction. Sorry you’re undergoing the same thing. :( I wish it was easier to deal with. X

That’s great that you’ve got an appointment but sorry you are suffering xxx if it helps, all my diaphragm symptoms disappeared with surgery. Best of luck xxx

All I will say is be quite firm on the diaphragm symptoms - I had a great surgeon the first time but she still missed the diaphragmatic endo and I feel I should have made a bigger deal out of those pains to prevent subsequent ops xxx

Will do. That’s really good to know. It’s a bit of an odd one, isn’t it, this diaphragmatic sort. X
