Hi everyone. Seems I’ve developed a new symptom of nausea. I came on Monday eve and by Tuesday morning my goodness. Never felt so ill. I was heaving but nothing would come. I still feel so sick now. I can’t move off the sofa!
I have a review at the drs tomo as they put me on a course of contraception to see if it helped. Some ways it has, others not so. I’m still incredibly tired all the time, I bloat, get cramps and now this nausea feeling.
I’m hoping they listen! I don’t want to be on the pill for the rest of my life! I want a solid diagnosis if it is endo or not.
I need to have my smear repeated in Aug as the cells weren’t clear. As soon as she put the swab in the solution it went red with blood. And it wasn’t menstrual she said.
I just want to know what on earth is wrong with me!

Heya, sorry to hear you're not feeling good. I had my laparoscopy last month and confirmed endometriosis, nausea has always been one of my main symptoms. I get a tablet called valoid off the doctor which helps the nausea immensely, maybe you could ask for a prescription for it?
Oh thank you. I’ll definitely be mentioning it. I’m trying to not let it ruin my day and forced myself to go out yesterday but just felt so rough. Like I was hungover but without the drinking part! X
Lol that's a great description for it actually! I've not been out for two days, I got my first period since laparoscopy and it's god awful! Was kind of expecting it though from reading what people have said on here. I hope you're feeling better soon and that your doctor will give you those tablets xx
I’m wondering where we will go from here now tomorrow. How many more hoops do you have to jump through for them to get you to the lap stage? This whole process is just crazy. X
I had the nausea with any contraceptive pill, so perhaps it's that?
The smear, I had the same as you - I bled when the swab was taken. Mine also came up inconclusive. So they examined visually and took a biopsy; it came back with cervical ectropion (otherwise called cervical erosion) - where the sensitive cells further up the cervix appear at the base, causing random bleeding / spotting and sharp needle pains. I know it may not be that but it's just an fyi as I'd never hear of it. They can treat it.
Hope you find some relief from feeling sick - try ginger in hot water, that may help xxx
I'm a bit late to this but yes definitely speak to the dr about anti sickness pills. I get dreadful nausea and vomiting with endo. Like you say - its like being horrifically hungover, my head spins, I sweat profusely and just lie there with cool flannels on my head. Little things that *sometimes* help me: sipping coke or anything fizzy, nibbling rich tea biscuits if I can manage it, bizarrely nibbling on Caesar salad if only at the nausea stage. Mildly spicy veg meals ease it for me when the nausea is mild. I drink ginger at other times but personally it doesn't help me when I have a flare. In fact it seems to exacerbate it but worth a go as many find it helpful.
If you've only experienced the nausea while on the pill it could be that. I had it the first few months and taking it with food seemed to help.
