I’ve been bloated for 9 weeks now and have been between GP and doctors. I’m currently on the waiting list for a laparoscopy for endometriosis however that’s been delayed due to covid so waiting list advised it could be much later in the year for my surgery as only an elective.
Gynae found a collapsed cyst and free fluid at the start of the 9 weeks but the cyst was too small for surgery so was just sent home with painkillers and then I was back up again and found that I have a ‘bulky’ right ovary ( considerably larger than my left ) and again I was sent home with painkillers.
I went back to the GP who gave me amitripylne to help me sleep as I’m tired 24/7 but the pain and bloating is still there but basically won’t refer me back up as scans are normal. He suggested changing my diet but I’m already ceoliac and careful with my diet, have cut out dairy etc but I think if I was allergic to dairy then the symptoms wouldn’t have first appeared only 9 weeks ago?
He also suggested taking peppermint tea ( which does absolutely nothing) I just feel like I’m getting left waiting for surgery but no one is taking responsibility for the present issues?
I just don’t know what to do anymore, any suggestions?
I’ve attached some photos but I’m getting really self conscious now as I look pregnant with my clothes on and can’t fit into my jeans 😢

Unfortunately it can be an effect, I’ve had this for don’t know how long. It’s a pain
I hate to say it’s likely the lap will provide further information. Once they are up and running, ask about cancellations, if there’s a list or you have to keep phoning.
Hi my endo specialist suggested I do a food intolerance Test to help work out what was causing my inflammation. I’m glad I did as I found out I was having a reaction to things I was eating every day. This month my pain has been a lot better. I hope you get your laparoscopy soon!
Take heart things are moving slowly, the NHS has done a deal with the private sector. Just keep notes on all that has happened to you and keep pushing and as Moon_maiden suggested check for cancellations. In the meantime suggest you buy a pair of tapered trousers with elasticated waist, not the height of fashion but eases the uncomfortable bloating.
I could take the same photo myself 😢 i know i have sever endo, had lap in 2017. It got worse now and i had painful lower abdomen and massive bloating from the start of my period for 2 weeks. My gp suggested urine test? Said it cant be endo as it would ve connected to my cycle? I gave up asking any more questions.
