Is treating endo with contraception pills normal?

I haven’t been diagnosed yet with endometriosis but they said if it was, then they would just give me contraceptive pills and go from there. But the pain I get etc no one will listen to me.

Do they help/treat it??

They don't necessarily treat it but they can manage symptoms but not with everyone as people react differently, they didn't work with me. Doctors do tend to try you on different medications first before considering surgery x

The only way to officially diagnose endo is surgery

That’s how I feel, I want to definatly know it’s endo and not just give me pills to what could be. I find it sad that doctors do not want to help.

I’ve had scans but they didn’t find cysts but I have a high ca125 level and endo symptoms. What were your symptoms if you don’t mind me asking?

Hi. They put me on a course of contraceptives and I have a review tomorrow. In ways they have helped like with the pelvic pain. But I still feel incredibly tired all the time, I constantly feel sick when I am on and I bloat to high heaven. I’m still pushing for a solid diagnosis. I don’t want to be on the pill forever more. I want to know for sure. It is such a frustrating cycle. X
