Hi everyone. just wondering what others experiences are with Cerazette. I’ve been on it 8 years. I had a break from it for about a month last year to give my body a break, but I couldn’t cope with periods so went back on it. Since going back on I have been unwell generally, but bleeding has been irregular when I use to have no periods at all. does anyone else have irregular periods with this pill?

Hey I’ve been on cerazette overall for 2/3 years and had a little break towards the beginning because I ran out of pills and didn’t get in at the doctors for a while! When I started it again, I suffered with really heavy and irregular bleeding! The cramps I had were terrible and I wondered if there was any point being on the pill. It felt like it was doing nothing! I was persistent with it and eventually my body was back to how it was previously, to no periods whatsoever (thank god!!!). Cerazette has been the best pill for me, once my body has adjusted to it. I never want to come off it if I can help it xxx

Its horrible! I have had a laparoscopy and there was some endo they removed, but no change to the irregular bleeding. i’ve been to see my GP this morning and he’s said to come of cerazette to see what happens. Period pain everyday even when I’m not bleeding! Hope coming off pill will sort things out! It’s really worrying and stressing me out! Hope things improve for you too!

It suited me really well 7 years.. but now I just have irregular bleeding all the time. My GP has advised stopping it to see what happens so fingers crossed I start to feel normal. Thanks for replying!

I found cerazette awful for side effects and feeling ill all round, and my periods were irregular from lke 31 days to up to 75 day between them. I came off it for a 'break' of a month and never went back on because I felt so much better off them. However when my period started it was horrific, but I've been put on Tranaxemic acid to stop heavy bleeding, which seems to be having some effect but still early days! x

sorry to hear you’re having a hard time too! i came off 2 days ago and i have the most horrible period pains. still bleeding. they are going to put me out that acid stuff if it’s still like it in a week. never use to have side effects on his pill.. but guessing your body can change!
