Hi ladies, I’m new here and so glad to have found you. I’m 46 and I was diagnosed last yr so a pretty late diagnosis for me. I had a laparoscopy and hysteroscopy op last November but the pain is still hanging around. Yesterday I had a cyst burst and I’ve never known pain like it. I’ve been given zapain which helps slightly. Today I am still in agony, my tummy is so bloated and I feel really poorly. How do you cope with this?

Burst endometrial cyst
Sorry to hear about this, I’ve had a cyst burst too I was in agony and my husband called for an ambulance when I woke I was in a&e they had given me a few too many variations on drugs and I was sick. Eventually I was on morphine it did little to ease the pain tbh, but eventually if I tenner correctly as it was a blur the pain subsided and I returned home. Can I ask did you still develop a cyst after a hysterectomy? What medical help did you receive for your burst cycs? Xx
Hi, thanks so much for replying. It’s horrible but comforting to know you’re not alone. And I’m so sorry to hear what happened to you. No, the cysts have been there for over a year as far as I know from the scans. I was in pain for 18 months before being diagnosed after the laparoscopy. I’ve been given nothing but pain relief for the burst cysts. I’ve been told it’s one of the things that can happen with endometriosis and will probably happen again. My appointment with my consultant has been brought forward as I wasn’t due to see him until the end of Aug so I’m now seeing him in 2 weeks. I really don’t know how to cope with this, the pain is unreal xx
