Anyone else had a lap to treat endo and it not made them feel better at all? I had endo and adhesions removed but the pain and other symptoms started coming back within a week of the surgery! My surgeon in the post-op said that does happen to some women because it just grows straight back...but I often read on this forum about people saying surgery has made them feel way better and I’m super jealous! Just so I don’t feel on my own...anyone else had endo treated surgically and not felt any better after? X
Ps it was lasered, not excised and yes I know excision is supposed to be better but before the surgery we didn’t even know if I had endo and I just didn’t feel like I could challenge my specialist endo surgeon’s techniques 🙈

I have two laparoscopys and had no relief from either ; my laps were about 9 months apart. (It came back after my miscarriage.) unfortunately endo was left on my rectum it was 2 tiny spots left on first lap now it’s all over my rectum causing such severe symptoms I’ve been referred to a colorectal specialist and I’m under a endometriosis specialist too and awaiting more surgery 🤦🏽♀️ You are definitely not alone if that makes you feel any better xoxo
Thank you, it is comforting to know it’s not just me as you start to think perhaps something else is wrong or they did the surgery wrong if it didn’t work. But that’s horrible for you too. Thank you for sharing xxx
I had my first lap under a general gynae last September. The surgery actually just aggravated everything and instead of cyclical pain I ended up with daily pain despite being put on Zoladex.
After numerous returns to the ‘specialist’ and asked to be referred to a BSGE centre and had a second lap about 3 1/2 weeks ago. Turns out I have stage 4 endo and it was everywhere inc Bowel and bladder. My BSGE surgeon said it would have been that way when I was seen by the general gynae and he couldn’t understand what that had done in previous op if anything. They do say it takes up to 6 months to get the full benefit from surgery but you know your body and if you feel something isn’t right I would keep pushing for further investigation... it’s a battle you have to be prepared to fight for.
