Got my diagnosis!

Good morning!

I am writing with some good needs. After my post a couple of weeks ago scared incase I was going for the laparoscopy and them not finding anything I had mine yesterday and they found ‘specks’ all over including me ovary.

They were supposed to laser it out but as I was getting the coil put in they decided to trial me with the coil and provera tablets? (I have never heard of these and I’m a bit worried about the side effects!) I am back to the gynaecologist in 6 months and if I am still in pain I will be back in for surgery and getting it cut out instead. They showed me the photos of it too and there was around 8 different patches all together!

I am in a bit of pain now but nothing too major as painkillers are keeping it at a minimum.

I was told off EVERY doctor I seen that I probably don’t have endo/the more than likely won’t find anything but I stuck to my guns and yes I do have it! If your fighting keep going as we know our bodies best xxx

Well done for trusting your intuition! It's not easy when all the Dr's think otherwise. It seems like they took a sensible approach. I really hope you respond well to the meds and you have a speedy recovery from the op. Be sure to rest well and let your poor body heal. You've been through so much. Xx

Thank you! I really started doubting myself when even the doctor yesterday said they more than likely won’t find anything but I’m so happy they did strangely.

Yes I am trying to rest as much as I can but typically this week I have my sons induction into school and then he also has a sponsored walk around the school 😳🙈 thank you for your reply xxx

It is so frustrating for us ladies trying to get diagnosed when we are so dismissed by medics; women health issues need to taken more seriously and we need a new perspective not a dinosaur view “ it’s part of being a woman 🤦🏽‍♀️”

One of my favourite line “ it is very unlikely that your endo has regrown that quickly” ( but it had!) Scary thing was these were gynae a who said that to me 🤦🏽‍♀️ you might expect a GP to say something like that but not a gynaecologist 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m pleased you got a diagnosis for the pain & symptoms and no longer feel it’s your head and you have indicated to the medics it never was 👍😏 it’s horrible when they make you feel like that.

Wishing you a good recovery xoxo

Yeah It really is horrible! I was on the verge of cancelling my lap due to not wanting to go through it all and be told I didn’t have anything wrong with me!

My first GP said “you know not all woman pains is something to be worried about”, then the gynaecologist advised it was more likely IBS and then the one conducting the surgery advised they will unlikely find anything! Was just a put down after put down! Really glad it’s over now and I didn’t give up. Hoping I the medication/coil work and I don’t need to go back under though! Think this is enough lol xx
