Need Advice or Someone to talk with

I saw specialist again recently and she put me on rigevidon which I then had a bad reaction too and had to stop taking. Since I stop I’ve had a period for 3 weeks but have been taking norethisterone to stop the period which has worked but the moment I stop taking them to start taking my pill again I end up getting a period straight away. Doctors seem to just be acting like it’s a mystery but I am now in agony and completely drained. Any one know anything that could help or been in a similar situation? I’m sorry for the rant x

I just came of Rigevidon on Tuesday. My doctor told me I just needed to let my body have some time off from it as I clearly wasn't reacting well. She advised me not to take other contraceptives or hormones and just to have a breather, let my body have a period and then get the coil. I was having breakthrough bleeds on the pill (not in the 7 day break) for over a week, which she said would probably only stop when I stopped the pill. I'm kind of expecting a god-awful period any moment now but it hasn't happened yet.

I had a week of bleeding with no tablets before the norethisterone but because I was bleeding so much and unable to go about life they wanted to stop the period. It seems to be getting worse. I hope the doctors sort something out for you soon and you don’t get a too bad period!

Have you had hormone injections? Or the coil?

No the injection is the next idea if the tablets no longer work

I was told they're risky if you have severe pain as it can make periods worse even just temporarily. My dr didn't want to give me them this week because of that. But for most people they really help.

That’s helpful to know and I could possibly explore the idea more

I’ve tried many different types of pills over the years also had the coil and implant none worked but now I’ve had the depo injection for a year and no periods I think it’s just trial and error to see what works for you, hope you find something that works soon x
