Every story I read everyone has other things going on like pcos, cysts, fibroids yet I had a scan and it ruled all of these things out. I have my pre-op for my lap next week and I am just wondering whether I could have Endo even though I don’t have any of the other things? I’m scared incase I’m going through surgery for no reason. I am in complete panic mode about the procedure as I haven’t been under general anaesthetic since I was a child and I’m freaking out over it all now.
Any advice would be appreciated xx

Hey, I’m suspected of having endo and all of those other things has been ruled out. However I think I have some cysts that burst as I get in a lot of pain and my ultrasound scan is a bit out dated (had it last June).
An endo specialist thinks my endo could be anywhere including my bowel and bladder due to my symptoms but I’m still waiting for a lap and freaking out over being put to sleep as well as it’s my first ever surgery.
But yeah I think you can have endo and nothing else but sometimes things can be missed on scans etc so a lap is the only way to find out what’s going on in there xx
She was only asking a simple question and yeah endometriosis is horrible to have but some people don’t have pcos or cysts which can be related to having endo. There’s nothing wrong with saying “just endo”
Sorry! I wasn’t meaning to be mean! I meant to say it’s ok and even just endo can cause lots of pain. So you might have just endo and be suffering just like everyone with cysts etc. Sorry if I sounded like I was being patronising!!!
I wasn’t meaning ‘just endo’ as in it’s not that bad.. I meant Just Endo but with no other issues ongoing. My Endo is suspected i my bladder and bowel which I am in extreme agony with so I would never say it as the way it make have been taken. Thanks for all of your replies. I was worried that to have Endo you had to have another issue which looks like my worries were for nothing x
There are different types of endo that behave differently and some of the more severe stages and types seem more frequently associated with other issues. There are lots of ladies with severe cases here as simple cases are less likely to need as much support. But it's possible to have straight forward mild to severe endo and of course pain does not necessarily mirror severity.
Up to 50% of the population may have fibroids its very normal. Small cysts and fibroids often won't show up on scans anyway. In my diagnosis lap they found had one small one of each but i have a severe type of rv endo.
I only have endo, if "only endo" can be considered a positive lol. Also don't worry about the anesthesia, just make sure you have someone to record the funny things you say. I asked my nurse (at the age of 13) to "get this f---ing thing (oxygen mask) off of me! I don't want to go scuba diving!" Try to think about the positives and the fact that this surgery will not hurt you, it can only help you.
