Gallbladder.

I'm waiting for a scan on my gallbladder as I keep getting a dull ache where the gallbladder is, my GP wants to rule out stones/infection. Can endo cause the gallbladder to play up? I only had my 3rd lap almost a year ago (which left me with more pain, the surgeon wasn't the greatest) Sometimes it feels like something is jammed under my lower right rib, the the dull aches which can be sharp I think it starts roughly after having coffee or something to eat.

Thank you for the reply. I do get the odd sharp stabbing pain on the shoulder blade which only gets worse when I'm due on/while on, but this nagging pain near/on the gallbladder I don't seem to get shoulder pain with it.

I have a small gallstone found on one of my tests to get a diagnosis. Very interesting about the oestrogen as I've been on the combined pill for many many years. I also get a wave of pain every so often under my right rib but I've been checked again and my gallbladder is fine x

I had precisely these pains following my endo surgery. It can be gallbladder, some ladies do have issues and my symptoms matched.

However in my case both gallstones and gallbladder were ruled out by scans and a blood test.

For me it was likely reflux esophagitis and gastritis plus either costochondritis or more likely amplified or neuropathic pain from a overloaded so malfunctioning pain system and being in a state of trauma after major surgery followed by viral meningitis.

I was seen by a pain specialist, prescribed pregabalin and did a low acid diet for a month and mercifully my pains faded over 6 months.

Definitely do get it checked out, but Gallbladder removal can cause as many problems as it solves for many people so I thought I would share my story, sometimes given half a chance youre body can right itself, but it all takes time.
