Pelvic Physical Therapy

I was diagnosed with endo in July and since my surgery, my pain has improved which is amazing. But in the past 3 months or so I’ve noticed the pain getting worse and I have spent more time in bed because of it. For about a year now I haven’t even been able to insert a tampon and any pressure on my abdomen is very painful. I think a big concern is sex for me. I would at least like the option to have sex that isn’t excruciating. If it is even half as bad as a tampon I wouldn’t be able to do it.

(((Random side note but I’ve never been able to orgasm. Has any other ladies out there not been able to either?)))

Anyways to the point. I have been researching pelvic physical therapy and there is a center in my town that does it. Has anyone had any luck with it?

Thank you!

Yes. I had to pay privately (and it was cripplingly expensive, £100 a go) but the physio l saw lectures all over the world about it, so I put my trust in her. She made a lot of sense, talking it through, about referred pain - we have so many nerves muscle groups down there! She did an internal each time, applying pressure, looking for referred pain from one place to another. I also had to do stretches and leg raises. Overall I did see improvement, and went 5 or 6 times. It helped (I think) because the endo is one part of the problem, the other part is how much we tense up down there as a result. I just couldnt keep it up because of the cost. Hope that helps.
