Anyone had their coil removed?

Hi, I’ve had great success with the coil but had removal 7 weeks ago as we decided to try for a baby. The first 2 weeks I had a heavy painful period and was quite ill. I’m hoping that it is not a sign of things to come - I wondered if anyone else had had a removal and what happened period wise?
