End of my tether...

So symptoms are increasing daily at this point. Kidney area is now excruciating, sciatic pain on an evening shooting down my left leg, nausea that’s like morning sickness, so tired I feel like I’m falling asleep all day long, have been bleeding on and off for almost 3 weeks, abdo pain, dizziness, pain when passing wind and now even my perineal area feels sore and inflamed and I have a lot of pressure down there. Has anyone else had this? Drs are still fobbing me off, have had 2 lots of antibiotics “for kidney infections”, swabs sent because of the swelling and bleeding down there and ultrasounds ordered of my kidneys and pelvis. Going back to the Drs today to plead for a gynae referral after being up at 4am Sunday morning crying in pain and needing a scalding hot bath for the slightest bit of relief. Living on paracetamol and ibuprofen so I can manage. Not the easiest when you have a 2 year old, 4 month old and a dog to look after too! Sorry for the rant just feeling completely sorry for myself! Hope everyone isn’t suffering too much right now xxxx

Sorry you’re feeling awful. I have many of the same symptoms you do - as soon as I mentioned pain that woke me up and kept me awake I felt like my GP took me seriously. I am very lucky to have a supportive GP but it seems to me the least they can do for you is some basic blood tests, give you some good pain relief and if they really still suspect it’s due to infection, send a sample of your urine and stool off for analysis. My GP did the bloods which were clear, an internal exam (hurt like hell and still did after a week) before sending me for an ultrasound before referring me to a Gynaecologist but did give me drugs for the pain and to try to limit the amount of bleeding I get while I wait for the Gynaecology appointment. Ah sorry you’re feeling similar! I’m hoping she will have a more serious approach this afternoon. They’ve sent off two urine samples which have both been negative, swabs which were negative and I’m awaiting ultrasound dates. She did an internal and says cells from my cervix are pushing down and causing swelling and bleeding. Hoping she gives me some more pain relief today as I’m struggling to cope day to day and really don’t want how I am to affect my kids lifestyles e.g. stopping me taking them places. Luckily the two year olds having a sleep over at his nanas tomorrow so means I can snuggle the newborn in bed for two days and relax.
