Acute hot poker pain

Hi. Once every few weeks I get a pain deep in my vagina that is sharp and so painful nothing masks it or helps. I just have to ride it out. It can last 20-40 minutes and feels like I have a hot poker inside me. It is awful. There’s no particular trigger but over time I’m working out it might have something to do with my bowel filling and affecting my vaginal area, affecting endo or scarring inside me. Anyone else have this?

Hmm, perhaps have it checked out, it could be cysts in your vagina, or something to do with your cervix. Either way it shouldn't be too difficult to get an appointment with your gp, they'll do an internal examination and take some swabs.

I had something similar feeling but it happened just after sex or the next day - mine was due to cervical ectropion, it also comes with a little spotting. But everyone's different so yours could be something else entirely.

My endo didn't cause any pains in or around my vagina but I know some women on here that say they have.

Thanks. I just despair of going to the GP. They’re never helpful.

I get pains around and in my vagina as one of the first signs I'm going to flare. Commonly the day before my period starts too x
