It is cycles where the LH hormone rises at the part of the cycle where it should then stimulate an egg to be released about 12 to 36 hours later, however this doesn't always happen, the rest of the cycle continues as normal.
I have the natural cycles app which measures your body temp and you can log it, it then uses LH ovulation tests (wee on a strip) near when it thinks your ovulation is (for 3 days) to show the LH peak but it must be followed by a increase in temp (24 to 48 hours later) to show ovulation has actually happened. That helped me to see when my cycles had no egg produced and which part of my cycle I am actually fertile for. It's a great app as it calculates it all for you, you'll need to input temp each morning (thermometer provided by them, included in yearly fee) and urine LH tests (cheap on amazon), after a few months it knows your cycle and your fertile days are more accurate including your ovulation day. It may help as it is the only app at the moment that GPs are happy to use the data from, both my specialist and GP are happy with it.
I'm not sure what treatment there is, but there must be something!
Me!! I found out I was having these types of cycles over a year ago. Couldn't get my head around it. I had been TTC for about a year at that point and it was only a blood sample that gave that result. The gynaecologist put me on a 3month course of clomid (which made me ovulate) but unsuccessful as I had way too much stress going on at the time. I am unsure if this is a side effect or symptom of endometriosis as I have now just had a endometriosis diagnosis in the last 2weeks and won't be seeing my consultant for another 4weeks to ask him.
