Hey guys, it’s good news but I’m confused. The consultant said he didn’t find anything and I have the cleanest pelvis he’s seen (lol), which is good. But now I’m stuck because I don’t know what the pain is caused by :/ I get mainly bowel pain so when I need to poop it’s like contractions (can be absolute agony). It used to be just around my periods but now it’s basically everyday. I’m on desogestrel now and I’ve felt a difference in I don’t have major bloat everyday that hurts.
Wtf can it be ? I’m so lost now. I cba to keep going for tests. Anyone in a similar boat?

Not in a similar situation- my symptoms were caused by endometriosis.
But prior to my lap my fertility doctor thought my symptoms were bowel in origin. Apparently bowel and gynae symptoms are very similar and are difficult to tell apart.
I am awaiting another lap as my symptoms have returned since my miscarriage.
I think you should now be refered to a bowel specialist- that’s what my gynae said they’ll do if my next lap is clear.
Good luck - really hope you get answers soon 😊 xoxo
As previous lady has said, my laparoscopy did come back saying I had endo, but previous to this, if it had been clear, I would be going down the bowel route for sure! X
Must be frustrating for you not finding an answer, I hope you are ok. Have you had a colonoscopy before? I was diagnosed with IBS (before they found I have endo on the bowel) as my colonoscopy was clear around 3 years ago. It might be worth seeing if you can see a bowel specialist next if you haven't already and hopefully they can help with some answers.
I was in the same situation as you. I had a Lap in August 16 and it was clear. The doctor said my ovaries were pristine. He dismissed me saying that the pain was not gynae-related and behaved as if I was making it up.
Had a CT in May last year and it showed a 6cm endometrioma on my ovary plus a hernia from the lap he performed!
It could well be that the pain is caused by a cyst or endometrioma or it could be caused by a bowel problem. Either way further investigation is needed. As someone mentioned, a colonoscopy is a good place to start and also don't rule out gynaecology problems just yet (get regular ultrasounds to be sure) Could it also be food related? Could you be wheat or diary intolerant?
Good luck. I hope you get some answers. Not knowing is harder than knowing.
My lap came back clear so I started to look into other things. I've never had bowel symptoms but the exact place where I get pain is my bowel, so I think there could be something there so I've been looking into foods and exercises that trigger the pain so I can go back to the doctors with solid proof. Could also be pelvic floor muscles as was the case with me, 21 years of anxiety meant they were so wound up the pain was spreading up through my hip and into my leg. Some people can just have all the symptoms of endo as separate things, which sucks but sounds like seeing someone about your bowel could be a way to go x
