MRI came back clear

Hello, has anyone had a clear MRI but still had endometriosis as I am so upset that they found nothing but need to decide whether to have a laparoscopy next?

Yes! I had a MRI, were they said they couldn’t see anything but then advised a CT scan would be more accurate.

I am positive I have it so I believe a laparoscopy would be most accurate!

I’m sorry you are going through this too! I had an internal scan first but they said they couldn’t see my left ovary as it’s behind my bowel but that’s normal apparently? And a few months ago I started having constant lower left pain and no one can tell me why 😔

I am in the same boat as you I really do believe I have it!

Hi, im so sorry you’re struggling to get a diagnosis..

I had an MRI and was told it was clear, NO ENDO! 6 months later an Endo specialist looked at the SAME MRI and it turns out I have deep infiltrating endo. So my advice is to make sure the doctor looking at your MRI is specialised in endo. You know you’re body, don’t stop advocating for yourself until you’re satisfied with the diagnosis!

Thankyou so much for replying! I have no idea how to even find out if they specialise in it as I struggle to even get through to the hospital to find out anything 😔 I also can’t afford to go private it’s a nightmare! He wants to do a laparoscopy but I’m worried that if it’s the same person they won’t find it, his title is just gynaecologist/ obstetrician so I don’t think he is a specialist 😔

I’m afraid i can’t help much more than that as i live in France and am having treatment there…

Don’t give, keep asking questions to whoever you can get hold of!
