Sign off after lap

Hi all

I am booked in for my 2nd lap on 6th March for ending on the bowel, bladder, urethra & basically everywhere (stage 4).

My first lap was last April but nothing could be removed as it was so severe. After that op I was signed off for 2 weeks.

Can anyone who has had a lap for stage 4 endo on the bowel let me know how long they were signed off for.

My work keep asking me & I can’t give a straight answer - just that it depends what the find at the op & how the op goes.

Hi I'm recovering from a lap where Stage 4 endo was removed from by bowel. Originally they were expecting to do a bowel resection but it wasn't needed...but I have been signed off for 6 weeks xx

Hi - thanks for replying! I was told by a previous specialist that it would be 6 weeks but when I saw the nurse at my pre assessment she said 3 weeks initially but she sounded unsure.

I hope you are recovering well. Glad they didn’t have to do a resection!

I have been warned of a resection and temporary stoma but really hoping I don’t need to have that!

Hope the surgery has worked and you will be in less pain x
