Lap cancelled

My lap was scheduled for today and after waiting the whole day they’ve just come around to say it is cancelled and I’m so emotional right now! Been battling with symptoms for 12 years and worked myself up to having it done to be told they don’t know when I’ll get a new date is soul destroy and to make matters worse I’m getting married in May and hen is in April so if I don’t get a new date within the next week or so I’ll have to wait until after the wedding 😭😭😭 sorry more of a rant than needing advice

I'm so sorry to hear about the cancellation. (What if my NHS surgery is cancelled last minute) - nhs.uk/chq/Pages/2563.aspx?... Fingers crossed they get you a new date asap, from past experience I've waited not too long for a new appointment to come through.

This happened to me on friday! It is heartbreaking can totally empathize with you. I think sometimes these things are definitely preventable.

I put a complaint in to the hospital and rang my consultants secretary playing my face as consultant was so rude to me when he cancelled. Really unprofessional (wanted me to go theatre with not enough staff so wasnt safe) then told me "live with your pain for another month).

I would ring the secretary and push for a date. Ask to be put onto cancellations list.

Aww that’s great news! Really hope it goes well for you & it goes ahead as planned. No, not yet. Going to ring tomorrow so find out. If it isn’t within the next 2-3 weeks I’m going to have to put it off until June as I’ve got my hen in April & wedding in May so everything crossed I have good news tomorrow xx

Hope your feeling better today and get a new date soon. I think its very common at the minute that surgeries are getting cancelled.
