Hi. I’m new. I’ve been diagnosed with endometriosis. On my left ovary. Today I had a scan which showed a small Endo On my right ovary. Has anyone successfully fallen pregnant? So worried I will never get the chance to be a mum!
Endo - fertility : Hi. I’m new. I’ve been... - Endometriosis UK
Endo - fertility
I had severe endo. (4 surgeries), PCOS and a bicornate uterus but have 2 beautiful little boys. It is possible but I worried so much before I fell pregnant! Good luck d x
I have stage 4 endo and I have 2 wonderful healthy boys. I’m about to have a hysterectomy due to endo xx
Hi look into naturalfertilityinfo.com about Endo. Have you tried anything natural or diet change? Usually Endo can be helped so much by diet change and progesterone cream. Endo is fed by estrogen. So if you get your estrogens in check it can really keep the Endo away. Just wanted to offer the information before you take such a huge step in surgery .. my mom had to have a hysterectomy at 34 after her birth with my brother and she's regretted it ever since. It caused her tons of problems because all of your female hormones are gone causeing hot flashes and menopause early. Hair loss and it can even cause facial hair too. Please do your research. Some doctors do all they can to avoid a hysterectomy for their patients.. others say "it's the only option" it really is that cut an dry. That's what I found when I was dealing with my cysts and Endo typical gynos wanted to rush me to surgery but my specialist and holistic drs had all kinds of options for me to avoid surgery. Just wanted to throw that out there incase it would be helpful. Id hate to see you regret it. Blessings.
I have had a miscarriage.... was told it wasn’t due to endometriosis but I’m worried as all can get out about being able to have a baby! I go here soon and get a ultrasound done with contrast to make sure my Fallopian tubes are open.
Hi look into progesterone cream for miscarriage Natpro has info on it. A major cause of miscarriage is the body not having the appropriate amount of progesterone. A lot of time just some Natpro cream can correct your levels and help carry the baby full term. Most women just don't know about it. Blessings!
I have severe endo, had it removed via laparoscopy and fell pregnant our third try after that. We had been trying for 3 years before that. If you have it excised you should be ok. Good luck and try not to worry, there are amazing things they can do now to help ladies get pregnant. Xx
Never knew I had endo until I tried for a baby. After a year and a half trying I went to the doctor and was referred to hospital. Courses of chlomid had no effect. We were then referred for IVF and when scanned they spotted concerns. I was referred back to local hosp for a lap. Found stage 3/4 endo. After three goes at ivf we got lucky and are spending our second week of sleepless nights with our amazing little boy keep believing. I'm 38 too so didn't have that on my side!!
I have severe endo, and have 2 healthy children. I conceived on about the 3rd cycle trying but unfortunately suffered an early miscarriage before immediately falling pregnant with my oldest. I then breastfed and suffered no painful episodes (which was amazing as I usually ended up in hospital every month from the pain!) and fell pregnant with my little girl after 3 cycles. Fingers crossed for you xx
Hi I have Endo to and have not gotten pregnant ttc 6 yrs. But remember God's timing is perfect. It really doesn't matter what condition our bodies are in there have been some seriously unhealthy people who have gotten pregnant. A lot of times people like us chase this idea that if if I'm eat healthy that'll finally do the trick, or if I do this cleanse, or take this supplement... It's easy to find hope in them all and get let down if they don't work.. I've learned by watching the many pregnant ladies in my family that nothing can really hold you back. If God wants you to have a child he will give you one. His timing is perfect though. So trust Him a GF of mine (who also has been ttc 6 yrs she got married the week after we did) had bad Endo way worse than me surgery's all the time, terrible cysts. She was a mess. She is now 7 months pregnant and had NO ISSUES through out her entire pregnancy! It's truly a blessing :). So don't loose hope. Obviously do all you can in diet and such to get better but if you don't get pregnant right away don't loose hope. Xoxo.
Also Endo can only be seen through a lap.. surgery.. so do u mean an endometrioma ? Like a cyst? On your ovary? I've had those. I got rid of mine naturally and it was the size of a small orange... So that's even less of a threat don't worry. You'll be a momma
Hi. I haven’t had a lap done? I had a scan yesterday. I think it may be an endometrioma. It’s on my left ovary. Hasn’t grown in size. But I also have one on my left a slight one the lady said. I’ve been trying to conceive for a year. I just don’t seem to be getting any answers. I don’t really know if it’s endometrosis or what you suggested. Thank you for your reply. X
Ok well for knowledge sake Endo can only be seen through surgery. A laparoscopy which they make small incisions and go through the tummy. Ultra sounds and things can show cysts but they can't see Endo. I want you to know this because a friend of mine was told by her gyno that she did not have Endo. Even though she never had surgery to see. I told me friend that her Dr. Couldn't know that since she hasn't gone in to look. Her symptoms we're definitely Endo symptoms as none of her dr.s could explain her pain. I told her to go to a fertility specialist instead of a gyno because gynos aren't nearly as educated... She went through the lap with her specialist and sure enough she had endometriosis. It's blows my mind that her gyno had the nerve to tell her that "was not" what was wrong! Seeing a specialist is step #1 with me. I've had too many gynos tell me nothing was wrong too. One of them even did surgery on me and said I didn't have Endo. 11 years later I had a fertility specialist do my surgery again and he found stage 2 endo. I showed him the pics from the surgery 11 years prior and he said "that looks like Endo to me I don't know why they told you you didn't have it". Fertility specialist see Endo everyday they know where it hides and they know how to recognize it. Gynos dont. They are to busy prescribing bc pills for everything.. and that's no help for fertility either! So my advice is go find yourself a good fertility specialist the more natural minded the better. Xx
What is the difference between endometriosis and endometrioma? X
There is no difference, endometriosis in ovary is endometrioma or chocolate cyst. I have read that size of endometrioma really metter cus there are many women under 30mm and live happy without knowing they have but if is larger than 30 mm then you need treatment ( mine is 41mm )
Oh ok. Thank you for explaining. They have said it’s quite small in size and it hasn’t grown, so I’m sure if it was concerning they would of recommended surgery? X
If you have stage 3 or 4 then immediately go for surgery in other hand satge 1 or 2 you will start with hormonal therapy. Have you had done blood test for Ca 125 ?
Endometriosis can grow on the bladder or bowel or ovaries but and endometrioma usually means a cyst usually filled with blood and tissue. So its fed by the same things as Endo like estrogens but it's in a form of a cyst. Therefore it can be seen on a scan where as Endo in other forms cannot be.
Thank you for all your comments. I am feeling a little more relaxed and confident reading your amazing stories! X
