Hello everyone, I am seeking a bit of advice if possible. I am 25 and have stage 4 endometriosis. I am currently also awaiting an appointment to discuss a 6cm endometrioma on my left ovary which has refilled after being drained in April.
My partner and I would like to try for a baby in the new year and although I know there are no guarantees with endo, I would like to do all I can to improve my chances.
I am currently on the Depo Provera injection which I won’t be continuing in the new year and I know it can take a while for it to leave your system, my consultant advised to take folic acid but I wasn’t sure how soon to start taking this and wondered if anyone has any advice or tips that could help? Has anybody successfully conceived naturally with stage 4 endo, is there hope?
Thank you in advance, all your help is appreciated xxxx

Just to say, along with folic acid you should also take vitamin d. It will do you no harm to start now, and will make sure your body reserves are nice and high if you do fall pregnant quickly. Good luck xx
My endo blocked my tubes and there’s no way we can conceive naturally. I’m on prostap now, third injection in December. Then ivf unfortunately. But we’ve been told that we have 30% chances, but maybe in the second cycle ...
You can get pregnant with endo, it depends what damage was done. I agree that you can start the vit. D and folic acid, it won’t hurt. And then wait. That’s the worst part.
Have you told your consultant that you’re planing to get pregnant?
Thank you for your reply, I did discuss it with my consultant at my last meeting, unfortunately she doesn’t work at the hospital anymore so I’m waiting for a new one to be able to discuss it further. Thank you for the advice x
A friend of mine has twins and she had endo. Im not sure what stage. And a friend of a friend has also concieved.
I think there is hope. And i wish you all the very best. X
I would start taking it asap, if nothing else it helps with the tiredness of Endo too. (Well, it's supposed to ha) I also have stage4 Endo but have recently just been through ivf. But I do know women with Endo who have conceived naturally. My sister has Endo too and had a natural beautiful baby in August xx good luck xx
