Hi all had laparoscopy and hysteroscopy yesterday. Since then I'm having trouble to wee. I m weeing tiny amounts and have to keep standing up and sitting back down. It is taking about 15 minutes of doing this to empty most of my bladder . Don't feel like I can empty it fully. Is this normal xx

No, it's not. You need to go to A&E and get help. x.

This happened to me. I felt like I was desperate but just a drop Cake out. I think it took 3-4 days to return to normal. I had to stay in the hospital for hours after it was done as I couldn’t wee at all, then once they let me home it was soooo slow but it got a bit better every day. Hope you’re feeling better soon. X

Also, Someone on here told me to take buscopan as this can help the bladder to relax. I didn’t get round to trying it but perhaps you could try that. X

Hey thanks for mail back. I have had surgerys before and been like this but only for a few hours or so after I wake up. So when I was in hospital yesterday I made out I was weeing more than I was as I thought it will l go back to normal. Hoping it will improve if not I will gwt it looked at. Many thanks xx

They don't normally let you out of hospital unless you have managed to have a wee. If it has not returned to normal within a few days contact your GP for advise

You really need to make sure you get this checked ASAP, I am at home with a catheter in because of this reason. If you aren’t voiding enough, the urine in your bladder will back up to you kidneys, this can result in serious damage!

I’d call 111 if I were you to get advice. I’m shocked they didn’t measure your urine when you left? As I had to get it measured and they scanned my bladder a few times. At one point I wee’d and there was 138ml in and so they told me to try once more and the next bladder scan I had 560ml! So I’ve had to come home with a catheter twice as my bladder is still recovering. I’m going back Monday to have it removed, and fingers crossed I won’t have it put back in xx
