Prostap... No sign of periods...any advice??

Hi all.... Getting really frustrated šŸ˜¤.. Had Lap last August, found to have stage 3 endo...several cysts, 1 blocked tube + heart shaped womb (basically my womb hates me!!) so am all too aware I have a long road ahead of me to try for baby... My consultant told me that she was only giving me 3mts worth of injections as she expected my endo was so bad it would return within 6mts...she said my period would come back straight away after the 3 mts of injections ( which was 1injection released slowly into my system for the 3mts) my 3mts was up at end of November...so here I am last few days of January and still no sign! I have started to get dull pain in my lower back again (which was the only place I ever had pain) so am worried now it's already back with a bang! I so regret taking the injections but was never given the option not to!!.... My body is a mess...I have gained so much weight and not slept properly in 5mts.. The hot flushes are bad but would happily put up with them for a few hours sleep.... Am in a strange situation... My operation was performed in Northern Ireland... I live in the Republic but because I was on a waiting list so long in south I was accepted for medical care in the north under an Eu cross border scheme... I was helped and operated on within 2month in the north...I have been on a waiting list in ireland for 4years n all they have done for me is blood tests and an ultra sound over a year ago...they have no idea I have under gone any treatment or have been told about endo. The northern doc said she hoped I would b pregnant by April n if not Then I could book a private appointment and go see her again...so I kinda have no where to turn at min for advice! I have a acupuncture appointment booked for tomorrow in the hope it will help my periods come back.....has anyone had good results from acupuncture?? Has anyone any advice on what could help bring them back?? I know I have no hope before April but last thing I want is more drugs in.my body after these last few mts of prostrap side effects... Any magic cures??! Any Irish girls out there in simular agitation with regards to cross border help??

Will keep u posted! Nothing worse than waiting! I have read online (good old Dr Google) that it take 65 days per each injection for periods to return... Don't know if my one injection is considered one or 3!

Hi AnnieMac123...I'm on decapeptyl atm and I got a 3 month injection also. I think they say it takes over 2 months for periods to come back. I was recently looking up supplements to take and raspberry leaf tablets people in the reviews said brought on there periods. It was on the site iherb.com. Can I ask where in Ireland you live? I live in Dublin and I got booked in at an appointment in Sept and had my lap done in Nov. Why were you left waiting so long? Glad you eventually got it done, though it kind of leaves you in limbo. Surely it's up to the hospital that operated on you to send all relevant info to the hospital that your under at home. You shouldn't have to worry about this you've enough going on x

Nah I think once operation was over that was me back with HSE again..North were brilliant and have done so much for me.. I have had to ask for all medical notes as the letter I was handed leaving hospital was very basic.. I live in Donegal [edited to comply with code of conduct]... my sister had endo as well and was treated in letterkenny for kidney infections for over 2yrs..before being referred to the north and been operated on that same day! I have to admit I have little faith in this doc am under with HSE ! His only really comment to me in the 5mins he saw me was "you have left it very late haven't you??" dismissed the fact we have been trying for years!!! Booked me for bloods and ultra sound...he's taken them from last may to this appointment in march to confirm my results! Won't I have news for him!!! Hope all goes to plan for u and the side effects of ur meds aren't so bad!
