Hiya, I had my op on the Wednesday and went back to work the following Tuesday. I didn’t exercise for a few weeks though as was still really sore xx
Hi,
I think it’s really down to each person. I had mines with endo removed on 18th Dec, and have been so washed out! Just this week feeling like I used to, going back to work 22nd, GP said to not be over doing things as well. X
When I had mine done for investigation only, which led to unexpected endo removal, I was signed off by the doc for 2 weeks. I had it done for unexplained infertility, which is now explained! I am lucky as have no symptoms.
I was surprised at the length of time I was automatically signed off for, but was also surprised I needed that time. Took a while to deflate after, I leaked fluid out of my scars for days and it was sore every time I peed for months after - assume I now have scar tissue around there somewhere! I was nervous to exercise because of this.
However, I think it’s totally individual and a function of what’s removed and where from. If you feel well, get back to gentle exercise. If not, take it easy. It may only be 3 small incisions on the outside but your insides have been shoved and pushed around and likely lasered in places. No one’s body will recover from that immediately! Trust yourself in terms of what you feel comfortable doing.
Good luck with the recovery.
It took me a solid 3 weeks to feel back to my normal self again.
