How much time in between laparoscopys?

I was just wondering how long people had in between their first endometriosis removal laparoscopy until having another one? I know some people its years but have people had 1 alot quicker?

For me with quite extensive endo and adeno, it was 4 years between the first two laps, then 2 years between laps 2 and 3 as well as 4 years between laps 3 and 4. I am looking at having a hysterectomy this year and that is 2 years after lap 4. My consultant told me 2 years between laps is quite common. I have heard of people having it done quicker, I should think it probably depends on the degree of severity of your endo, what hormone treatment you are taking as well, lifestyle (eg. exercise,diet, stress levels) and whether the endo was excised by a bsge centre.

I’m having two with in a year but I have higher complications risks with the second surgery but I know my specialist was hesitant at first because it can effect my fertility rate even more due to scaring but it’s something I’ve come to terms with so she’s made me wait and make sure it’s something I’m sure I want to do and it is. I guess it just depends on the severity of each case. X

My endo returned within weeks of excision. Im just 1 year now post op. See Gynea end of this month for follow up. He said he wouldnt rush me back into theatre but im more than ready. Im worse now than before the excision. Repeated surgeries aint good though. It adds to adhesions, then worsen symptoms.
