Anyone’s Laparoscopy been cancelled due to NHS problems?

Hi everyone,

I’m due for a laparoscopy in a couple of weeks. I haven’t heard that my op has been cancelled but due to the latest goings on with the NHS I wondered if any of you have had yours cancelled?

Mine got re-scheduled and then they called to cancel. I expressed how I'm desperate to have it done and they seemed to squeeze me into a different day. The third op date all within a week! To be honest I'm nervous that it'll be change again before the 15th 😬

Thank you for your reply. I watched the news earlier and am convinced my op will be cancelled/rescheduled. Sorry to hear that you’ve been messed around. It’s so horrible, especially when you’re nervous about the op anyway! Mine is booked in for 24th...fingers crossed it will stay that way!! Good luck with your op when it does happen!

My hysterectomy is also scheduled for the 24th and I'm dreading it being cancelled. Hope we both get our surgeries, it's such a long wait in the first place for it to be cancelled will be devastating. Good luck.

It’s a horrible wait isn’t it? I haven’t received any letters/calls as yet to say it has been cancelled but have a feeling I’ll be hearing from them soon.

I really hope yours isn’t cancelled, it’s really hard especially when you just start to get your head around having the surgery! It’s such a long process anyway!

I hope you do get your surgery on the 24th, good luck.

I know I was told I'd have my op in September and only got the date a couple weeks ago. I hate waiting!!

I hope it stays the 29th and doesn’t change. I was told today that ops could be cancelled on the day. I really hope that doesn’t happen! 😩 Good luck with yours 😊

Fingers crossed your ops all go ahead! I was meant to have mine late this month, but it keeps being pushed back and is now the end of March! I am well over the 18 week wait to which the NHS is meant to adhere - I understand they have such colossal pressure but the stress of pain and waiting is horrible :o(
