How many incisions ?

Hi ladies!! Hope you are all well and pain free!! Just out of curiousity how many incisions did you have made? For your laporascopy/ excision xxxxx

I had three. One in my bellybutton, and two near my hip/pelvic region. There’s pictures on my page too

I also had three. They’ve faded really well with bio oil.

Presumably something to do with the instruments they needed to use. I’d ask!

You have a very good point why haven’t I asked? I never had a follow up appointment and I thought 4 incisions where normal but I feel somewhat like my bladder nerves aren’t functioning properly :/ xx

While I did have 3 for my endo lap, when I had my gallbladder removed I had four. I think it depends on the surgeon/type of endo you possibly had.

I had 4 and for about 2 weeks my bladder wasn't it's self.. 2 weeks on from that am it's all back to normal x

I think I have lost sensation down below, I can’t clearly say it’s linked to that incision but it’s weird I lost sensation :/

I had quite alot done so I put it down to everything being swollen/bruised inside x

I had one in belly button and one on left side on knicker line. They only did left as i never have pain on right and although it a procedure it not as minor as u think. My gynae said if he went in on right where i have never had a pain i may get adhesions or nerve pain so he didnt wana touch it..

It’s so scary how we don’t even know what actually happens inside tbh I don’t have pain like I used too , but I lost nerve sensation and it wasn’t like that before surgery xxx

Well i appreciate that he just didnt go into my body rooting about when he thought it could make me worse.

It worked out i didnt have endo anyway i have clotting problems that why periods so painful and i also got a enterocele .

So i been put on transexamic acid and it has helped me alot and i see a physio for pelvic floor so good come out of it in end

No it doesn’t it never does lol, am awaiting my next one but I don’t know why coz nothing ever works! Just at that point of not knowing what to do and lost after 5yrs had everything going but an hysterectomy, trying for a baby for a year now and still no luck but it’s hard when sex is just painful lol. How are you?

Awwww babe I’m so sorry to hear that and I completely understand I only had my first lap 4 months ago tbh I changed my entire diet I cut out dairy and carbs and it has helped a lot with my pain I don’t know how or why but it has so I’m sticking to it I still have pain feels like I’m bruised on and off but it’s not like the burning acid torture I went through before so I am grateful. Sex will never happen With me that virtually impossible so I understand that xxx

O good that’s brilliant! I did the diet thing for a couple of years and also got peppermint and ibs tablets to help and it did give some comfort but it didn’t last, I think it’s coz I have endo on bowel and bladder so lots of things set it off to much of one thing so constantly mix it up we all try and find our own rhythms to make it work for us. Keep it up and if you start feeling unwell again mix your food up have lots of different things going on and keep on top of your pain killers xxx

I had three, one belly button, one by my left hip and one bikini line. I asked after, doc says its to do with one for camera and light, two for instruments to get the best angles. others can be done if they need a different angles.
