How many meds?!

Anyone else lost count of the amount of meds they are on?

I have just been prescribed a 7th medication. This is for migraines and not my endometriosis or my IC but it’s getting exhausting remembering what is for what.

I swear if someone shook me I’d actual rattle.

Just wondering if I’m the only one that struggles mentally every time they just throw another medication at you?!

You’re not alone.....I just added in tramadol and it just make me feel way more normal before pelvic pain.

Ah, tramadol. I’ve been on it again (for the second time) since April last year. Take it along with naproxen and amitriptyline. I find it does nothing for my IC pain though.

I take amiteiptalyne, tramadol and diclofenac suppositories and it just is lifting me and all the tension is lessening where I hold myself tightly.

Only 2 hours in though.

I have such a bag of pills that my work colleagues joke I'm a drug dealer. I have been working on my lifestyle...sleep, anti inflammatory eating and daily pilates and its slow going but over 18 months I'm now taking half as many pills. I see someone for a sports massage too every fortnight which is expensive but has really helped cut back my migraines. Currently awaiting op number 4 but who knows when that will be.

I totally relate, I’m on 7 different types now too. Sometimes I add up how many pills in total I take a day and it horrifies me. I’d hoped pain management would make some adjustment so I could take less but the only thing they suggested which was a patch my GP won’t provide.Best wishes to you xxx

Hey, you’re definitely not alone, I take 14 pills a day for various things with added painkillers for my endometriosis now and would also rattle should anyone shake me !! 🤣 i do have days (a lot) where I resent having to take them all (and I’m terrible at swallowing) but at the end if the day, they are necessary and are what are keeping me going for now, so i just have to get on with it I guess. Keep taking the pills ! You’ll get there, keep strong xx

Hi

Do you feel better or worse- I been on that journey but not with good results endo

with its many effects depending on the person.

Tablets mask so many problems - yes we rattle but do need pills found natural products

help - look at that option plenty of infro out for you.

And you are not alone this site helps but why do women have to suffer.Time helps

but not our health and mental stress - in this modern age- hope you find something that

works for you best of luck.

I was the type of person who would never ever take pain killers, no matter what. Now since I’ve been getting endo pain (since last year) I was looking how much medication I’ve taken in the past year and honestly it’s crazy. It’s really changed my lifestyle

I really appreciate everyone’s messages. It’s difficult to explain to my loved ones how much of an impact they have on my mental health so it’s good to know there are others who go through this.

They help me manage the pain, mostly to get through work but then my weekends are mostly in bed or on the sofa dealing with the side effects.

What was worrying was the doctor when I spoke to them about my migraines told me they were going to put me on amitriptyline and when I said I was already on it he said that wasn’t in my record 😳 even though I’ve been on it for over a year and get continuous repeat prescriptions!
