Hi there me again! I have surgery next Friday this will be my second time having a laparoscopy, so I’m feeling quite anxious and worried in a weird way that they will find nothing because then I will have no explanation for the pain.
I had the Marina fitted 3 years ago and I wondered whether it is possible for endo to still develop even though I have had it in. I’m in pain everyday and can relate to so many of the posts on here. Last time they found that I had an inflamed Bowel and some endo.
Any thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, yes I believe that endo can progress despite the coil. My gynae was concerned about this. He spoke of symptoms breaking through, ie the level of progesterone was too low to keep holding it back after a while. Your lap should indicate if this has happened to you. It’s good to hear that you have one coming up soon.
