I am having my first mri scan next Monday to see if anything else is going on inside and to see what's going on with my bowels and all this random pain I keep getting.
Will they be able to tell if the endo has spread? Has anyone else had an mri?
Little bit nervous x

Good luck hun, let us know how it goes. I haven't had mri. I recently had ct and it showed nothing. But i get worse all under my ribs during my cycle and struggle to breath.
But telling the doctors is like talking to walls.
I've had mri for back problem. It's nothing to be afraid of. It's just the results that get us all worked up which i understand.
I hope they can give you some answers. I empathise with you.
Trying to get the consultants and doctors to listen and understand is so stressful!!
I've been complaining about my bowels and endo to my gyne for 7 months now and only just listening to me as I saw one of his registra's and she completing empathised with me.
It seems to take so long to get them to listen. Ive been fighting this since march. I was bad before then but i kept putting it down to infection. Now i think its nore to do with my cycle.
They only found small amount of endo in my laparoscopy. Ive since had coil fitted which was horrendous for me so had it removed. And ive had endoscopy and ct scan. Blth were clear. Which is great. But doesnt explain or help symptoms.
By the way... last time i had mri i fell asleep. Lol i was that tired. I tend to think of things that make me happy while im in the time warp xx
Hi, I’ve had one. It’s no trouble. You just need to lie still for half an hour or so.
Take a sanitary towel with you. They have to fill you up with jelly to get clear images and of course it will leak afterwards. NHS towels are truly awful for some reason.
They can see some things on MRI but I was told that they can’t necessarily see all the endo.
I had an MRI and didn’t have the jelly thing mentioned, so I don’t think it happens in every case.
My top tip for MRIs is to close your eyes throughout and try to think of it as an opportunity for a little rest. It’s quite noisy, so hard to nap, but it’s best to be in as relaxed a state as possible. I was given headphones and music for mine xxx
