Hi,

Has anyone has bad edima with endo?

I have had several scans which are showing a 10cm chocolate cys on my left ovary. I am going for a lap in December too remove the cyst and ovary ... my gynaecologist is going too treat any more endo while she is there.

But my question is has anyone has bad leg / ankle swelling with endo ? Had scans and blood test done with no luck has too why!

Why is the lower left leg red? Is it hot to the touch? Have you seen GP with this ?

Hi thank you for the reply, they do not know , been too gp several times. Hospital 3 times 5 lots of bloods 2 chest x rays . One ultra sound and waiting for another .... 2 lots of antibiotics .... they doctors have no clue 😞

This is why I am woundering if it could be endo linked

How long have your legs been like this - was there any injury / trauma to either leg?

Has anyone given you a diagnosis?

Do you know if there is a Lympthoedema Clinic in your Area.

If that is Cellulitis in lower part of left leg then you will need antibiotics asap.

They have been unable too diagnose..... I’ve had two courses of antibiotics

What antibiotics did you have? Did you have Flucluxoacilin?

Have they considered DVT?

Have you thought of asking for a referal to Lympthoedema Clinic?

Have you Googled Lympthoedema and Lipodema?

I'm assuming you've had a d-dimer blood test? My leg did not swell like this but I did develop a DVT a few days after a large endometrioma ruptured. Initial tests attributed my d-dimer level to the cyst rupture as scan didn't initially find clot, but a few days later, when I could no longer walk properly, I got back to a&me and the clot was seen on scan in seconds

Hi I’ve had d dima 3 times , first time positive second and third negative 😔 one doppla and nothing found

It's very odd! Does it hurt? Mine felt like a dead leg - numb as if I'd had pins and needles feeling. My d dimer was over 3000. If this has happened suddenly I'd want to get it checked again as a matter of urgency. Is your gynae aware this has happened?

I have rang and spoken too her receptionist.... but no reply back 🤔... I’m not sure on what they count was was just told it was positive.

My gp is really confused and openly admits that they are not sure on what it is

I'd want to ask for the Doppler to be repeated. Mine only showed up as blood clot during second look

Is it hot?

Has red area increased in size?

Do you have a raised temperature?

Temp is fine .... it start out a pea size about 9 weeks ago... been the size it is now for about 4 weeks

Hi. I know this thread is from a while ago. Did you ever find out what was causing your leg to swell? I’ve got a similar problem atm x
