I had total laproscopic hysterectomy and had fibroids, suppose it depends where they are and how big.

It was stage 4 endo with ovaries stuck together (left had a chocolate cyst ) they were stuck to uterus which was stuck to bowel and back. I had adeno too.

My recovery was 8- 12 weeks, op was 10 weeks ago almost. I'm feeling much better now but if I do too much I get back ache and shooting pains down left leg .

You have to rest lots and listen to your body. If you work and can do it, have a phased return to ease you back in. Have peppermint tea if it's a lap. No heavy lifting or driving. Hope that helps, happy to chat. Big hugs xxxxx

Hi I'm m 8 weeks post op from a total laparoscopic hysterectomy leaving ovaries in. They thought i might have needed the full abominable incision due to me having c section and scar tissue but they managed to do it keyhole.

I have been up and down during my recovery. Hormones and frustration.

Recommend to take it easy after operation and have someone to help you. Even if you feel ok you have had a major operation.

Get plenty of books, peppermint tea and a triangle pillow.

I was in and out of hospital within 24 hrs.

I had prostap injection 6 months ago to prepare my body for operation and I'm still having unwanted side effects from that.

All in all i feel the best I've felt in years, no more period pains or menstrual cramps.
