Can gas pain come back after a week if laparoscopy

I had a laparoscopy a week and 2 Days Avis I was having really bad gas pain but it did go away after 5 days. Yesterday I started having this pain but just the right side of my rib. It has gotten so bad its hurts to breath in. Could this just be left over gas? Or something else?

Yes probably gas, it can takes weeks. Have some peppermint tea to help and walk about as much as you can. Big hugs xxx

Hi your gas pains should have gone after 5 days however you can still get them but it could be the start of a chest infection as when you've had an anaesthetic you are at higher risk of post op infection!! Give it a couple of days if it doesn't subside or gets worse go to your gp!!! Hope you feel better soon!!
