Gas pain 3 weeks after laparoscopy for endo

Hi all! I had my laparoscopy 3 weeks ago to remove Stage 2 endo. Thankfully, all was removed! However... I'm experiencing what I think is trapped gas!? My stomach is still bloated and my tummy constantly rumbles and feels uncomfortable and sore. Could it be trapped gas or just part of the healing process?

Any advice/reasurrance would be greatly appreciated!

Hi there, it took me about 5 weeks before I was feeling back to normal after my lap. Hang in there and be kind to yourself! Drink lots of fluids and eat fibre. I’ve found a gluten free diet really helpful in combatting endo belly. Xxx

Yeah took me 2 months to see some of the bloating go away, I was afraid it would be stuck like that forever haha. I would release some and then eat or just over time it would bloat right back out again- it was starting to hurt how much it was pushing out my stomach. I was on fodmap diet for 3-4 months already, was walking as much as I could handle (take your time building yourself up) and drinking fluids so literally was nothing else I could do to get rid of it. I’m not sure if it was a coincidence or not, but I started drinking dandelion root tea my mum gave me and it helped with bowel movements and got rid of gas pretty quickly! I use it all the time now- my saving grace to help stimulate the bowels if I ever need it. If you want to try, they usually have the actual dried root at Asian grocery stores in the tea section. Then you put a few of the roots (which just look like twigs lol- so weird) in a cup, steep in hot water for a couple of minutes and then you can pour into another cup through a sieve of some sort to filter out any dried root bits. I was so skeptical after the first time it worked because I’m like this is literally sticks and how would that have helped when everything else wouldn’t, it was just tea! So I tried on a completely different day and it worked again. I looked it up and supposed to help liver and bowels- so whatever it does, it does work. Hope it helps you too! :)
