I need feedback.. Had my laparoscopy end of April and had no period at all for a good couple of months. Since End of June, they have come back with a vengeance, Im literally on it 2/3 weeks out of 4.. Been back on Cerazette/Zelletta for same amount of time so wondering of it is due to the pill, a consequence/rebound of the operation or else? Im really annoyed as I'm exhausted and my face looks puffy/tired all the time. I want it to stop but Surgeon says to give it another month for pill to settle though I believe that pill is causing it all..
Any thoughts or experience?
Thanks

Before my laparoscopy I didn't have a period for 6 months. Just before my operation, I was put on desogen which caused major cramps then I switched to lo loestrin fe. The 8 days before my lap while on lo loestrin fe I had terrible cramps and had my period(mine are usually fairly light and only last about 4 days with severe cramps). The day of surgery my doctor switched my birth control to tri-linyah and I have stopped bleeding and am not experiencing the same terrible cramping. (At least not yet.)
So for me, it was definitely the birth control throwing things out of whack. I made the decisions to stop them myself as I know my body and that was not normal for me.
Fortunately for me, my doctor listened and we got things taken care of. I'm not a fan of the whole "let the birth control pill do its thing" ordeal as I tend to have all the side effects as soon as I take them, and they don't let up.
If I were you, I'd ask your doctor to try another type of birth control. I know it's hard when they don't listen but do your best to not be silenced and brushed off!
