Hi I'm Joanne 47yrs with server endometriosis were everything is stuck together I'm waiting on full hysterectomy with the bowel specialists too I've been on the list since January 17 . They said I will be a challenge.
Has anybody else had to wait this long I'm at the royal Oldham hospital.
I'm on high pain relive 25mg fentnal patch and gabapentin 900mg at night and 300mg our 600mg twice during the day depending on the pain and 60mg of museal relaxant too. These meds only take the edge off as the pains so bad I have passed out with it . They wanted to up my fentanyl but I've said no as I'm able to work with the level of pain relive I'm on and think I could end up taking to my bed our being sleepy on my job which is a no no as I look after complex care children in their own homes .
Have any off you had to wait so long for hysterectomy with bowel specialists too ?
Thank you Joanne

Hi jo ..not sure if I can be of any help but this does sound a bit like my story ..in 2004 ..
I too had severe endometriosis..but unaware I had it ..at the the time ...
I had no bad pain ..just dragging feeling in my tummy , but did have horrendous bleeding..with
Fibroids..i only had to wait 2 weeks for my hysterectomy and was done by a gynecologist only.
Endo was found on bowl ..large n small , cervix. Uterus, overies fallopian tubes ..hence I had a full hysto..but one ovary which was kept to go in change naturally ..had 6 months of Zoledex...
Put on HRT..
Nearly 13yrs down line , here I am having had no bother with endo ...until now ..or at least that what the specialist thinks ..as I have a 6cm cyst found on right ovary..n pain like endo ..if it is it's the HRT..thats been feeding endo ..
Back to yourself I would ring the gynecologist secretary..to say how much your suffering and anyway ,,the operation could be brought forward ..
Sorry your suffering again I always had alot pain when I had cysts.
I'm now trying to hold off ring the hospital if I can as I'm due to start a new job with the NHS but the way my hubby and my mum are nagging me I don't think I can hold off ring for long .
I wish you a speedy recovery and you get sorted soon and be back pain free .
Hi, who did you speak to? I suggest finding out the name of the medical secretary to the consultant and start phoning every week. Be nice, explain, chat, ask for help. If you are in luck s/he will find out what's going on and help.
If not, I'd try PALS. They are the more official route.
