Hi my CA125 is 56.5 and was told this was normal if you have endo. They will do an external examination and gather info on your symptoms I would think. Good luck x

Hi

Thanks for reply . I'm not sure at the moment what is wrong with me . I was diagnosed in 2006 with adeomyosis which I just learned to live with. Recently I started to have a clear sometimes brown/pink discharge. Would come for about 10 days before my period then go then cone back, then I had 2 late periods , but last two have been on the day to the hour on time. A few weeks ago I started to have a sharp pain in my right side and tender tummy. That turned out to be a water infection but at the same time the Dr ordered ca-125 . This has come back high . I then went to see her for pelvic examination and she said my uterus was bulky and she could see some blood when she inserted the spectrum but I wasn't worried as period was only 2 days away . So when the blood test came back it was a shock. My symptoms have been cramping just before and during and the discharge. Fatigue and longer lasting periods . I dont think I am so ill to have anything sinister. But I am still scared . I have appt with gynaecologist tomorrow and an appt has come through for ultrasound next week . I'm 46 so put lots of this down to begin with with peri menopause, it's only been going on for 6 months . After antibiotics for the uti the pain I was in has gone . My pelvis is tender if I push hard and I have tight feeling but other than that I have no pain. I am just hoping for more answers tomorrow with gynaecologist so I don't have this feeling that's been hanging over me the last two weeks. It's all come as a shock . Adeonmyosis and endometriosis have all the symptoms I have plus so many other conditions- some worse than others. Hopefully find out more tomorrow xxx ty xxx

Aww honey best of luck when you see them. It is better to know if something wrong than not i would say and let them do their thing i guess. They seem to take these things far more seriously when there is some blood. If its any consoloation an dim not saying you have the big C but sometimes it can just be a case of removing the uterus and no chemo or anything like that. My mum had a hysterectomy at 74 and was absolutely fine she had some cancer in her womb and they just gave her a hystorectomy and she was fine. They frequently can do one just laparascopically so just tiny little scars the big cut is for the olden days but id ask and maybe if it bothers you get it done laparoscopically the recovery is better as well and hardly any pain from the surgery itself. My issues are endo thats why i have pain and it can be a bugger geting it sorted and the correct treatment but other illness doesnt seem so bad they get on with it and treat it. Let me know how you get on if you get chance and im always open to give support and whatever help i can bug hugs xxxx

My ca-125 was regularly raised (119, 85, 107) and my endo was very severe. I'd had a pelvic ultrasound which showed a few paraovarian cysts and a hydrosalpinx in the right tube but was otherwise classified as normal. The gynae asked what my periods were like, asked if sex was painful, told me he was sure it was endo and arranged a surgery date. All done and dusted in about 5 minutes. He didn't examine me and didn't really want a lot of other information.

Normal for ca-125 is 0-35, mine was 60! Due to endo, cysts & now a frozen pelvis! My GP said they worry more so when it's like 500 & above. It is a worry but the test is only a guideline & don't confirm the worse no one told me this & I was scared & panicked
