Excercise after lap

Morning everyone,

I have my surgery on Wednesday which is more of a look and see and if there's anything that can be dealt with there and then they will remove for me. I recently started a running club it's nothing strenuous, 1 min walk 1 min jog that kind of thing, does anyone have any ideas about what time it can take to get back to this exercise. I also go to the gym 2/3 times a week to do cardio.

Any experience would be a huge help as I'm not one for sitting round doing nothing for too long
