Just sharing my story! I was diagnosed preliminary with endo March 2016! That was after lots of tests, seeing numerous doctors and an eventual laparoscopy! When they did the op, the surgeon who I can on my assume was not an endo specialist said that they couldn't really diagnose me but they could see some endo but they just left it there. All this happened in Chester where I was attending university! Since moving back to Bradford, where I am from I urged to see a specialist [edited to comply with our code of conduct]! Which eventually I did. My surgeon has been absolutely wonderful! He schedules my appointments and surgery for around my masters degree (I'm training to be a barrister) he even made it so that my surgery could go ahead immediately after my exams to stop further pain! My surgery was yesterday, and although I'm currently in a lot of pain, I am happy to know I finally got an answer...the specialist was able to identify the endo, which is mainly on my left side and ablate it as he saw fit! It has taken over 7 years but I have finally been diagnosed and treated! I'm unsure at this time what stage my endo it at, and all I know is the surgeon did more on me this time than last, I have three larger incisions and dissolveable stitches in ! But I am so happy I finally have an answer. I hope this could be the last of my surgeries. I may find out its only the beginning! But at least I can go ahead with my life knowing fully about the condition we suffer from!
I hope my story gives hope you anyone reading. We're all in this together and we all help each other to push through 😊😊😘
