hi, I have been on Esmya for almost three months, not had any side affect and go back for a scan next week to see if my fibroids have got smaller. I'm just worried about bleeding again, does anyone know if its going to be as bad as before or better / worse and how long after finishing the tablet does the bleeding normally start again.

Hi Barkingb, I'm in the same situation. I finish my first 3 months on Esmya 3 days ago (got 3 fibroids of 3 cm each) and have my scan by the end of July. I haven't started bleeding and I really hope it doesn't come back as bad as it was before. However, since I finish the treatment I have a lot of headache. I wish you good luck with the outcome, and I update you as soon as I have any changes!!

Hi Marpli_1, please keep me updated how you get on, I really am dreading it and I start a new job on the 17th July. So would like to be normal(ish) for my start date. My fibroids were 5cm, 7cm and a few little ones. Won't know the results until the 27th July when I go back to the hospital to see the consultant.

I have my appointment on the 25th!. I'll keep you updated and please do the same. I've been taking loratadine for the headache, because I thought it was sinusitis...I don't really know if it's just Esmya post-treatment effects but it's getting better. I've noticed an increase in my weight too. Not too much and mostly in my tummy...so, started doing yoga and I keep eating healthy. Let's keep positive, you will have a good start in your new job (btw congrats!!!)
