It's been along time since I wrote a post. The last time I did I was sitting in hospital being treated for a severe spinal infection, instead of having my endo surgery for recto virginal endo stage 4. My consultant deemed it too risky to do until my spinal infection had been treated. 2 years on and I'm now experiencing the worst endo symptoms since I was diagnosed. Bowel pain and incontinence, horrific bleeding and the list goes on. I'm trying to summon the courage to contact my consultant but I'm scared as two years ago it was stage 4 and everywhere. I hate this and I hate myself for being scared but I've had years of hell with this and i don't think I can cope with major surgery again.

So are you saying that you didn't get any endo treatment after the spinal infection cleared up? Surely it should have been done as soon as possible and it shouldn't have been up to you to contact them, they should have given you an appointment as soon as you got the all clear.
My endo was pretty extensive having not being diagnosed until I was 47, but the surgery was nothing compared to the pain I'd had every period for my entire life. I didn't even want any pain killers and felt much better even as I'd just come out of the anaesthetic.
I would contact them, stage 4 is the latest stage so it won't be any worse stage wise. It probably spread more and your surgery will be longer but they'll probably be able to remove it all.
The only reason they didn't perform the surgery was because of the infection so they'd be willing to book a new one for you soon.
If they remove all of the endo then the rectal bleeding will go away, you wont be in pain.
At least except for adhesions which are just part of surgery.
