Can I still have my op?

Hi. I have just got my date for my 1st laparoscopy, 28th March, am worried though because I cut my hand deeply with a kitchen knife whilst chopping cauliflower on Monday, they didn't stitch it but taped it with steri strips instead. it became infected so was re taped and bandaged yesterday & I have been put on a 7 day course of antibiotics, will any of that mean they cant operate? Really don't want to miss this as been waiting since before Christmas. Also I have a 5 yr old son, 3 days after the op he will be on Easter holidays, will I be OK to look after him then?

Hi with regards to your hand I would give them a call and ask them for advise. As for little one you may need some help for a few days as you will not be able to lift him. It would be very painful and could cause internal damage.

Hope you can still go ahead with op.
