aaaa i'm freaked out. had a Laparoscopy just over 3 months a go it was healing nicely. now i'm on holiday. i've just noticed my belly button bleeding i'm freaked out and concerned why has this all of a sudden opened up and started bleeding. what should i do.

I'm not sure why this has happened so I looked it up. It says here that if skin glue is used for a lap there is a small risk that some wounds may break open again:

This may not be the reason why your belly button is bleeding and they may not have used skin glue on you but thought I would let you know just in case. In my view and I may be wrong as I am not medically qualified, I would treat your belly button as you would the first few days of your lap, keeping the area clean and dry and see if you can buy a dressing plaster similar to what you had before and see a GP when you can.

it was stitched up. but thank you. i will try and look after it and see gp when i get back
