Back to back pills.

Hi ladies

I've now been advised to take my pill back to back for 3 months (rigevidon) I mostly take my pill for 2 months back to back anyway so have a withdrawal bleed every 2 months.

This is my first time of taking it 3 on the trot, I continued taking it Tuesday 20th September instead of taking my break until Tuesday 27th (I would've had my withdrawal bleed from Friday 23rd for a few Days if I hadn't continued) I'm usually fine doubling up, but since about Saturday (24th) I have had some horrible symptoms - a few crampy pains, really bad wind and nausea and sore, bigger boobs and some spotty skin.

I don't think it's possible I'm pregnant because I haven't missed a pill or anything and would only be 18 days pregnant and tests so far have shown as negative. It just seems coincidental all of these symptoms arose when I should've been having a withdrawal bleed. Has anyone else experienced this with taking the combined pill back to back? Is it just a side effect of my hormones being elevated for a 3rd month in a row and not having a weeks break again?

Thanks ladies.

I take rigevidon constantly until I get breakthrough bleeding, usually at about 4-5months. I'll take a week off and then go back to taking them constantly again.

I always get the symptoms you mention around every two skipped withdrawal bleeds, along with some bowel/bladder urgency issues. Symptoms tend to ease off after a week, so I've always assumed it's my body being a little confused and trying to have a phantom period!

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I'm still feeling them a bit now but I suppose my body is adjusting and is telling me I need a break! It's crazy, my friend even said my body might think I'm pregnant from no break or something so I'm getting symptoms of pregnancy... those pesky hormones and the games they play with us haha! X

Hi I get the same symptoms as well at the end of the pack and if I go to three months without a break I start spotting around the 2nd week so usually have the break then and then go back on I still find the pill does help though periods still very painful but better than when not taking the pill
