Hi ladies
I've been on this pill for nearly 4 months now. I got over the initial side effects but I am still in constant pain following my surgery. Can anyone recommend a good alternative OCP please?
Thank you xxx

It's a combined oral contraceptive which means it contains estrogen I found on the 3 combined pills I was on I had a lot of issues but when I went on Norlutate (progesterone only) it was a lot better with side effects. Plus progesterone is supposed to be better for endo.
Ask your dr if you can try a progesterone only pill, it's also better in the long run, since estrogen can cause blood clots while progesterone isn't as likely to.
I fear the only person who knows your history is the best person to advise of changing Pill. anyone else is really not you not your body and has no idea whats going on inside your body, just pester the gynae or family planning clinics for help until you get a happy compromise..
Hi Jodie,
I was on Microgynon but it wasn't helping with my endo pain - switching to Cilest has reduced my pain a lot.

Thanks so much for that. I know microgynon isn't doing the job. I've taken 5 packs already since my surgery. Might discuss with my GP tomorrow. Xx
