How Young hun?? my 2 younger sisters had hyster at 30, one because she had the worst PMT you could imagine and the other coz she tried IVF and had 2 ectopics either side, her ovaries burst and emergency op was carried out-no family for her she has an army of pedigree cats instead.. The older on started menopause at 39 and was warned it would happen, she,s back to where she was 10 years ago now, I take her to a gynae I used to work for, she has put her on HRT called premarin-some may have heard of this it is a real hormone and it is helping her womens problems but causing side effects on her skin she looks like she has had burns!! Why are you needing to consider major surgery if you are under 35-40?

Ah god bless your sister, that must be awful.. Iv has stomach pains for nearly three year, had bowels tested many laps and all tests that can be done, my gyno put me on prostap which has worked a miracle but it's my last month on it next month and I'm worried. He said the next step is hysterectomy, he's told me he's 200 percent the pain is coming from my ovaries and it will take the pain away. The pain when it comes on is disabling I literally can't move out of bed it's like my ovary has just exploded and pain is right through my back my front and down my left leg even morphine doesn't take the pain away. I'm 23 xx

Hi me again- have you tried a Mirena? They supress the ovaries so no periods no ovulation!

I'm 41 so not that young but considering one because of my bowel and bladder continuous pains and issues caused I think by adenomyosis , my biopsies from came back positive for adenomyosis and my uterus was visibly swollen and painful during my op and during internals it's alway commented on as bulky. I just don't know though as I get continuous pain only slightly worse at periods. They would leave my ovaries but worried they may fail and I end up on HRT or have the hysterectomy and bladder and bowel pains are the same have had some endo cut out but have been worse since lap :(

How are you and how old are you?

What is adenomyosis? Iv has stomach pains for nearly three year, had bowels tested many laps and all tests that can be done, my gyno put me on prostap which has worked a miracle but it's my last month on it next month and I'm worried. He said the next step is hysterectomy, he's told me he's 200 percent the pain is coming from my ovaries and it will take the pain away. The pain when it comes on is disabling I literally can't move out of bed it's like my ovary has just exploded and pain is right through my back my front and down my left leg even morphine doesn't take the pain away. I'm 23 , I was all for the hysterectomy until Iv came on this site. I think I'm my head I had unrealistic expectations that I would have it then to over and be pain free and that would be it, but I do t think that is the case. I am just so done with pain I was hoping for some miraculous operation xx
