Hello. Does anyone experience moderate to severe fatigue with their endo. Mine has been really bad this summer, where I spend most of the day in bed because I have no energy. What types of meds/supplements/herbs can I take to help me with this? Thanks

I have terrible fatigue, always have just didn't realise until recently that it's because of endo.

I have tried to clean up my diet... particularly avoiding sugar, gluten and dairy. I take a good quality probiotic and a multi vitamin. I also take magnesium in the evening to try and improve sleep quality.

Might be worth getting your bloods done? You could be lacking in something, vitamin D deficiency is quite common and linked to fatigue.

All the things Marie9 says - exactly what CFS specialist recommended to me - and try to pace and not over do it. No easy answer. I've suffered severe fatigue for 7 years. Anxiety makes it worse. I'm making some gradual improvement taking v low dose of anti depressant escitalopram - took me years to be convinced to try it but it really is helping me.

I have always had overwhelming fatigue ever since i started having endo symptoms. The endo diet has helped me a bit in that regard even though it did not help with pain. I too take probiotics (acidophilus with 4 billion cfu), multivitamin and magnesium malate. I think the magnesium malate really helps. I am still exhausted during my periods and high-pain days but it is much better than before. Make sure any suppelements you take are gluten-free, diary free, sugar free, yeast free and soy free. The book by dian mills has some good info on supplements. There is something else it recommends for extreme exhaustion. I think l tyrosine capsules but i am not sure. However, this is to be taken only ocassionally, i would consult a nutritionist before taking it.

I take maca powder and i meditate. The meditation is hard when in pain but my main anxiety which exhausted me too was worrying about the future. Will I have pain tomorrow when I need to work, or because I've got pain now will I have to cancel that day/night out I had planned. This is exhausting in itself.so I do meditation and positive affirmations. Yes, I have pain now, but I'm a healthy strong woman and the pain will not be here forever. It sounds very strange, but it worked so i keep doing what works.

Sorry just jumping on your post! I used to use tablet probiotics but found it caused thrush. Does anyone else have this problem? I'm not sure if it's one of those things I should stick with & it may get better? Any thoughts from those using them?

Marie my fatigue got quite critical, nodding off as I sat down. It wasn't until I went to my last laparoscopy that the anaesthetist said I needed to see my GP for tests. He prescribed iron tablets & it has helped considerably...saying that I'm laying on the sofa now! Wish you well xxx

I have just realized that I have not completely treated a chronic yeast infection that I have (due to anti-biotics) and I have heard that it can lead to chronic fatigue. I started taking "terconazole" yeast suppository cream as of last night, and I already feel a little more energy.

I also read on Dr. Oz that you can do a simple yeast test to see if you have hidden candida colonies. He said to fill a glass with water and spit into it. The spit should float at the top, however if you start to notice that it gets cloudy underneath, or you you strands start to hang down from the spit puddle, it could be a sign of unresolved yeast, which could be causing some fatigue if not treated. I am hoping if I resolve the candida that my energy levels will pick up. I will also be adding a good pro-biotic and iron supplement to my diet.

I wanted to give an update to my chronic fatigue situation. My mother went to the Vitamin Shoppe and got me a really good product called "Adrenal Fatigue Fighter" by Ridgecrest, and I am so very thankful that she did. These supplements are herbal (and Vegan) and from the day I started taking them I have been feeling much better and my energy has been recovered! Im really thankful she picked these up for me, and I did some research on Adrenal Fatigue and it is responsible for many people who suffer fatigue from chronic conditions. I also have be treating my yeast infection as well, and truly I know if I can stop procrastinating and do a candida diet (free of sugar, ugh!) that it will also help improve my energy levels.

Definitely give "Adrenal Fatigue fighter" a chance. It cost about $24.00 for 60 capsule's (2 capsules 1- 2 x a day) at the Vitamin Shoppe, but we did find it cheaper on several sites on-line.

I have endo as well. I've been on lupron/ depo shots (side effects were too severe so I didn't continue after the first round) then they did surgery and had removed part of my left ovary& endo& adhesions off my intestines, bladder and other organs, and put the mirena in. It helped for about 6 months or so,but then realized it was giving me even more pain and more cysts. Turns out it was starting to attach itself to my uterus and with all the scarring/ adhesions there, was beginning to stick and was pulling on my intestines (horrible pain&fatigue) So my 2nd surgery, they removed mirena and part of my other ovary(I have no kids yet, mind you) then I tried BC pills..but they have been giving me bad mood swings and anxiety. So currently, I stopped taking them and am not on any hormones. Sorry for blabbing. .my point is- I am ALWAYS extremely fatigued and in pain as well. And I too take a probiotic (vegan one) and vitamin D supplement, along with other vitamins. I haven't eaten meat in almost 20 yrs(since I was 13) and I barely eat dairy. Also I try to stick with natural sugars. But still, I remain absolutely exhausted at all times..and have a constant splitting headache! :( I also find it very hard to lose weight (I need to lose 20lbs). I wanted to try any NON- hormonal treatment..and then I heard of crystals.I also heard there are "yoomi" (probly spelled wrong) crystals that you actually put up inside of you. Has anyone ever tried these, and if so, do you think they work? Also, any other advice would be greatly appreciated : ). Sorry for such long post. Thanks: ) God bless and good luck to everyone! Thank you for a site like this to vent and have support !😇🙏
