have my first gynaecologist appointment in 2 weeks and I dunno what to expect as I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet.
Gynaecologist appointment : have my first... - Endometriosis UK
Gynaecologist appointment
On my first appointment the gynaecologist asked me lots of questions about my symptoms and periods and then did an internal examination, he also took some swabs, not sure if this is the norm but he did it as my GP hadn't. I found it helpful to write down any questions I had as I knew I would forget them once I got in there. Try not to worry in the meantime, hopefully after your appointment you will have a few more answers. Xx
Hi laurademi I had the exact same appointment as to Pinklady123 however I wrote a list of my personal symptoms and anything that may trigger pains/symptoms - as that is a question my gynae asked "Is there anything that makes it worse?" Definitely write anything down so you do not forget.
Some people keep a pain diary which can help figure out if pain is connected to your cycle, I have pain everyday so I don't bother.
Hope that helps & good luck!!!
I had a transvaginal scan (internal scan) . He also asked lots of questions. I'm just waiting for another scan and a surgery date.
thankyou everyone for your messages it is very useful I don't have pain all the time and it is linked to my cycle. I will make a note of everything. Hopefully get some answers.
